A tweet has started racism & immigration discussion on the French team winning the schedule of the Football World Cup 2018 in Russia. France beat Croatia by 4-2 in the final match to play on Sunday.
According to the BBC, American author Khalid Baidon appealed to France's multi-cultural team. His posted tweet on Sunday has been re-tweet more than 163,000 times and liked 370,000 times. The winning team is being recognized as one of the most multi-cultural teams, 15 of the 23 national players in the French national team are African, and Most of them from French colonies, and Muslim footballers are also part of the team.
Many people on social media also point out that despite being African roots they are 'the first French'.
